In this case the client insisted on keeping the messages already associated with "pálinka" – tradition, nobility, loyalty and the Hungarian uniqueness of this spirit. But at the same time it was important to reach a new young target audience. To meet the requirement the designer chose to depict the Hungarian hound with a fresh, clear representation.
The Gyulai Pálinka - Gyulai Firewater is a unique and innovative spirit bottle design that combines tradition with a modern twist. The client wanted to maintain the traditional values and associations already linked to "pálinka" - a Hungarian distilled spirit made from fermented fruits, while also appealing to a younger audience.
To achieve this, the designer decided to feature the Hungarian hound as the key motif on the packaging. The Hungarian hound symbolizes fidelity, nobility, and all the traditional values that are deeply rooted in Hungarian culture. The depiction of the Hungarian hound is fresh and clear, giving the design a contemporary feel.
The design also incorporates different color versions of the logo, each representing a different fermented fruit used in the production of the pálinka. This adds a touch of uniqueness and variety to the packaging, appealing to the diverse tastes of the target audience.
